Chet Jacobs is the Chief Storage Evangelist in the storage division of Hewlett-Packard. A 45-year industry veteran, he has been with HP for the past 25 years. He is also a veteran of the US Navy.

As an employee of the Storage group, Chet participated in the development of DLT as well as many other technological developments from HP. A well-known speaker, he delivers a wide variety of storage presentations at industry standard forums worldwide. His presentations include product presentations on hardware and software for customers, partner sales and engineering teams and training for internal employees. He has traveled around the world appearing in person, and on television, at conferences from Brazil to Great Britain to Boston and Beijing, among many others.

Chet holds a degree in business administration, with a minor in electrical engineering, from Clark University. For the past 20+ years, Chet's hobby has been the restoration and updating of his antique home. His civic activities have included Selectmen, Lion's Club and Recreation Commissioner in his hometown of Stow, Massachusetts, where he resides with his wife of 44 years and their daughter.
